South Georgia recovery supporters birthed The HUB of Southeast Georgia during 2019 a few months before the pandemic hit. With the problems of Covid surfacing everywhere, the HUB reached out through Facebook Live to bring hope and healing to a very resilient group of men and women looking for connection. Daily live videos encouraged many, many people during a time that most were struggling. The HUB and its partner organization Bethesda Recovery have held events online and in person to educate our community about the truth that people do recover. The HUB is an acronym for Helping Us Belong demonstrating that the opposite of addiction is connection.
